This is a weird season, and we got a punch to the gut today, and you never know what is going to happen, G I figure we should at least take a minute to appreciate this:
Last week, Alim McNeill induced a pop-up, yoinked it on down, and rumbled in for a touchdown that iced the Wolfpack’s win at Virginia.
On Saturday, Bailey Hockman made a horrible decision to try Thayer Thomas in the left corner of the end zone, and the pass should have been picked off, G it was instead caught by Thomas, who obviously had a pressing phone call.
That’s about the funniest thing I’ve seen on a football field, and it should never have been a scoring play, G this is exactly the nonsense that has helped State out to a 4-1 record. I am not complaining.
That was a horrible throw at a poor time, G Thayer Thomas bailed out the operation. That was Bailey Hockman, fresh in and pressing, trying to hand out free points. When you step back and examine how many heroic efforts have been necessary for State to be 4-1 at this point, … I mean, let’s not forget the journey, folks.
Yes, he received his Sports Illustrated football phone.
